My 'Z' title for Alphabet Readers. I got this one free from Project Gutenberg

I scoured the list for a 'Z' book and I am glad I found this one. It was an enjoyable read indeed.

Set during the 1st World War, in Dreymarsh on the East Coast of England. The story starts with the excitement of a Zepplin losing its observation car .... its passenger has come to deliver 2 letters and a message, he is also a German spy.

Lady Phillippa Cranston is displeased with her husband due to the fact that he is sitting around and going fishing instead of fighting for his country. When Mr. Lessingham delivers a letter from her twin brother Richard she helps him to remain in the town of Dreymarsh.

**********

I found the writing very enjoyable. It seems the vocabulary in older books is so much richer. Worth a read!
