My latest finish for the Alphabet Readers Challenge - My 'K' book.

I just finished reading another Grisham book, The Chamber and really liked it so it was easy to convince myself to pick another Grisham book.

The King of Torts centers around Clay Carter, he works for the OPD (Office of Public Defender) and earns just about enough to get by. Rebecca Vanhorn is his long time girlfriend, her parents want the best for their little girl, including a powerful and high earning husband so they try to push Clay into taking a high paying job which he is not impressed by.

During the preliminary stages of a new murder case, Clay meets Max Pace who makes him a generous offer in order to get a pharmaceutical company out of some considerable trouble. So begins the rise of the newest King of Torts.

Things are looking up for Clay who manages to buy a Georgia Town House, Brand New Porsche and a substantial Yacht for his father but of course there is bound to be trouble ahead.
