Yesterday we heard some news of a 38 year old man who died in a car accident. Today I realised who it was. Garry lived next door to us for a while and we knew him from around town and through other friends. I can't say he was a friend as such but he was a nice guy and I always found him to be pleasant company.

One of the Maltese newspapers had a picture of the car along with an article in Maltese and the story was also on the internet in English

The man saw him not long ago and we are both rather sad by this. His passenger was in a critical condition but we heard today she is out of intensive care. She is the girlfriend of another guy we have known for years and I hope she recovers soon - the news article said she was conscious when the police got there so I think it is very likely she is traumatized.
