This is an old favorite of mine. Frank Oz calls it a story about a boy and a girl and a plant.

The original movie was made in 2 days. The off off broadway show was created in the 80's and this film was made in the mid eighties.

It is a musical piece full of great music and a fab cast including Steve Martin as a psychotic dentist and Bill Murray as a sadistic patient.

Rick Moranis plays Seymore Trelborne, a bit of a nerd who is into plants. One day he goes strolling in the wholesale plant district looking for something unusual. There is total eclipse and when he turns around, a strange and interesting plant appears....

The plant is bought and Seymore tries various methods of making the plant thrive, eventually discovering what the plant needs .... blood!

Mushniks business (a florist where Seymore lives and works) is turned around when the plant, named Audrey II, is put in the window causing people to come in and remark, and buy things while they are there.

This film is a lot of fun and if you never saw it, you should get it, you wont be sorry!
