Katherine Finn is known by most as the formidable Finn, her neighbour David Dodd finds her an intriguing mystery with her flame hair and long dark coat. One day he sees an object crash through her roof and in a panick enters her house to see if she is ok. He takes matters in his hands to fix the roof and figure out why Kate has no furniture.

Kate decides to find a lodger and Elsi comes along to take the room, she is sick of the nursing home and wants her own space!! Elsie works too, flipping burgers.

Kate has a very full life with her position as Cellist in an Orchestra, she also teaches children privately.

Is there any room in her life for a man? She dissaproves of David and sees him as unabitious and lazy. Why doesn't he work? All is revealed and there are some kittens thrown in too just for a giggle.
